Pincher Creek Social Needs Assessment

In order to gain a deeper understanding of the social needs and priorities of residents in the Pincher Creek area, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) has engaged Nichols Applied Management, an Edmonton-based consulting firm, to carry out a social needs assessment.

In support of this social needs assessment, Nichols is conducting a survey of community stakeholders and residents in order to obtain their input on social issues, programs and services in the region. 

Completing the survey is expected to take no more than 5 to 10 minutes.

Responses will be grouped for reporting purposes and will only be released in such a way that the answers of individual respondents cannot be determined.  Survey response deadline is November 22.

Broadband Networks for Community Sustainability, February 28

The next event in the Town of Pincher Creek Economic Development Committee's 2013 Monthly Speaker Series will be a presentation on the importance of broadband networks for community sustainability.  These networks open vast frontiers for economic, educational, social, and other opportunities.  The speaker will be James Van Leeuwen, a consultant and entrepreneur working to advance these frontiers through initiatives like PICTURE (Putting Information and Communication Tools to Use in Rural Economies).
